2010 Soap Box Derby Information

ONCE AGAIN, it’s time to prepare for the SOAP BOX DERBY competition on General Montgomery Day. We would like to take this opportunity to “Thank” all the participants of previous years for their hard work and creativity that
continues to make this event so successful. To all our new entries this year, a word of encouragement, to continue to work hard on your cars, so that you can join us in a fun-filled day of competition.

Pre-race inspections and activities will be held in the parking lot behind the Village Hall, on Friday, September 10th between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Participants who can not attend this pre-registration must do so by phone no later than 9:00 PM on
Friday, Sept. 11th. All phone registered entries will be subject to a pre-race inspection and any entries found to be
unacceptable will not be allowed to participate.

These are the basic requirements for the Soap Box entries:

1. Air-less tires no larger than 12 inches in diameter.
2. Safety Helmets must be worn by all participants.
3. Adequate steering and brakes to control the car.
4. Maximum length of 9 feet and Maximum width of 4 feet.
